Microdermabrasion
Buff. Brighten. Glow.
What is Microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive exfoliating treatment designed to reveal smoother, brighter and fresher-looking skin.
Using a diamond-tip device, the treatment gently removes the outer layer of dead skin cells while suction helps lift away debris and impurities.
This encourages skin renewal and can help improve the appearance of dullness, uneven texture, congestion, enlarged pores and fine lines. The result is skin that feels beautifully soft, polished and refreshed, with a healthy, radiant glow.
Treatment Time – 30 Mins

FAQs
What is microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive exfoliating treatment that removes dead skin cells from the surface of the skin. At The Face Lab, diamond-tip microdermabrasion is used alongside gentle suction to leave the complexion smoother, brighter and refreshed.
Will I see results after one treatment?
Many clients notice their skin feels smoother and looks brighter immediately after their first treatment. A course of treatments may be recommended when targeting specific skin concerns.
Does microdermabrasion hurt?
No. You may feel a gentle scratching or vacuum sensation as the device moves across the skin, but the treatment should not be painful.
How often should I have microdermabrasion?
This depends on your skin and treatment goals. Treatments are commonly spaced around 2–4 weeks apart to allow the skin time to recover between sessions.
What does microdermabrasion help with?
It can help improve dullness, rough or uneven texture, mild congestion, the appearance of enlarged pores, superficial pigmentation and fine lines.
Is microdermabrasion suitable for all skin types?
It is suitable for many skin types, but it isn’t appropriate for everyone. Your skin should be assessed before treatment, particularly if it is very sensitive, inflamed or compromised.
Is there any downtime after microdermabrasion?
Unlike Hydrodermabrasion, microdermabrasion can leave your skin slightly pink or feel more sensitive immediately afterwards, but this normally settles relatively quickly. For sensitive skin, we always recommend Hydrafacial over this treatment.
What should I avoid after microdermabrasion?
Avoid strong exfoliants, retinoids and other potentially irritating active products for several days, and avoid excessive heat or anything that irritates the skin. Follow the aftercare advice in your aftercare pack.
